EWOP is more than just a program. It is a lifeline.

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude and to acknowledge the profound impact that Empowering Women Out of Prison (EWOP) has had on both my personal and professional life.

After being released from prison on February 6, 2023, I was determined to rebuild my life with purpose, integrity, and direction. That journey could have been overwhelming, but thanks to the consistent support, encouragement, and resources provided by EWOP, I was never alone. Their program guided me not only while I was incarcerated, but also continued to uplift me throughout my transition back into the community.

Because of their unwavering belief in me, I was able to channel my passion into building a future I could be proud of. I founded my own business, IDo Planning, a wedding and event planning company. Since launching in August 2023, I am proud to share that I have successfully booked 26 weddings, each one marking a step toward financial independence and professional growth.

In addition to launching my business, I also achieved a major educational milestone: earning my Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, Business Management. This accomplishment is something I once thought impossible, but with EWOP’s guidance and encouragement, I found the strength to believe in my potential and pursue it.

EWOP is more than just a program. It is a lifeline. It is a community of women who believe in transformation, who uplift one another, and who provide real tools for real change. Their dedication to walking with women during and after incarceration has made all the difference in my life, and I know I am just one of many success stories born out of their mission.

Thanks to EWOP, I have also been reunited with my family. My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, and I have been blessed to reconnect with my children, grandchildren, parents, sister, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Beyond my own business, I have also been successful in managing Kool Kakes by Dylan (a custom bakery), Everything Floral by Dylan (a flower shop), and serving as a Department and Opening Manager at McDonald’s.

Thank you to everyone at Empowering Women Out of Prison for your relentless support, compassion, and commitment to helping women find their voice, rebuild their lives, and pursue their dreams. I will forever be grateful.
