Mentorship
BECOME A BUSINESS PLAN ADVISOR.
Serve as a virtual mentor and help participants in Empowering Women Out of Prison (EWOP) develop their business plans from concept to completion. Advisors share professional expertise, give feedback, and encourage participants through each stage of the planning process.
How it works
THE ADVISOR TIMELINE.
Advising runs May through September, with bi-monthly assignments. You are matched with a participant, review her plan as it develops, and give feedback at each milestone. Whether your background is business, finance, marketing, operations, or entrepreneurship, your guidance makes a lasting impact.
February: Applications Open
Applications are available for those interested in becoming a Business Plan Advisor.
March: Information Session
Learn more about the Business Plan Advisor role, expectations, and commitment.
May: Advisor Selection and Matching
Business Plan Advisors are selected and matched with participants.
May–September: Business Plan Advising
Advisors work one-on-one with participants, completing bi-monthly assignments and providing feedback throughout the business planning process.
September–April: Recruitment and Interest List
Prospective advisors can sign up to receive information and be considered for the next BPA cohort.
